japanese art that moves you


In general I love Japanese art and design. There seems to always be a clean gesture, an emotional essence, and calm power to Japanese work. This beautiful and sad installation is in the Japanese Pavilion in Venice.

The Key in the Hand” was created by the Osaka-born and artist Chiharu Shiota with the pavilion curator Hitoshi Nakano. You can see more on the wonderful eco art website Inhabitat:
